Know Your Personality, Appreciate your Uniqueness

My interest in personality psychology began to develop when I was doing undergraduate study in university. We bought a personality book named " Personality Plus" for our psychology class that is written by a famous self help author and public speaker. I enjoyed reading and understanding the book even most of my peers showing disinterest with the content.

So, Florence categorized people personality generally into 4 major groups and they are:

  • Sanguine (the most popular)
  • Choleric (the powerful)
  • Melancholy (the perfectionist)
  • Phlegmatic (the peaceful

The sanguine and choleric are considered as the extrovert, they are talkative and outgoing and tend to make friends easily, comfortable in social gathering and look confident while the melancholy and phlegmatic are considered as introvert and they are quiet and shy and prefer to spend time alone or with people they are comfortable with.

To understand clearly, I simplified the difference of introvert and extrovert personality in a chart.

THE EXTROVERT

Hi, I'm the powerful choleric!
Hello guys, the popular sanguine is here!
Assertive and enthusiastic.

Love to talk things out with others.

Get energized by surrounded by others.

Like public acknowledgements.

Good in public speaking.

Confident and high self- esteem.

THE INTROVERT

I'm the perfect melancholy...sigh..
I feel so relax..I'm the peaceful phlegmatic!
Self-conscious and passionate.

Like to be alone with their thoughts.

Get energized by being alone.

Prefer to get accomplishments in private.

Good writers.

Shy and quiet.
